How it works

From your brief to handover — here’s what to expect when we import a car for you.

  1. 1) Tell us what you’re looking for

Share the make, model, must‑have specs and your budget using the form above (or WhatsApp). Most cars in Japan are sold through dealer‑only auctions, and that’s where we source from.

  2. 2) We find and inspect candidates

We propose matching cars with a fully landed quote. Before placing any bid we carry out a full inspection — smell, rust, paint, headliner, unwanted noises and anything specific you ask us to check.

  3. 3) £500 deposit and we bid for you

Once you’re happy with a car, we take a £500 deposit and bid on your behalf. If the bid is unsuccessful, we can refund your deposit the same day — or hold it while we wait for another car.

  4. 4) Export, shipping and UK registration

If the bid is successful, 25% of the payment is due within 3 days. We handle export documentation, sea freight, customs clearance and full UK registration.

  5. 5) Final payment and handover

The remaining 75% is due on collection. Collect from Wellingborough or we can arrange delivery anywhere in the UK.

  • Full pre-bid inspection and mileage certificate (same authority used by BIMTA)
  • Preparation and export documentation in Japan

Our quotes are fully landed — no hidden fees.

FAQs

How does the sourcing process work?

Most cars in Japan are sold through dealer‑only auctions, and that’s where we source our stock from. Share your brief and budget, and we’ll propose candidates, fully inspect them before bidding, then manage purchase, export, shipping, UK registration and handover.

What costs are included?

Our quotes are fully landed: export, shipping, customs, testing and full UK registration.

When do I pay?

For cars on order we require a £500 deposit before bidding. If the bid is unsuccessful, we can refund your deposit the same day — or hold it while we wait for another car. If the bid is successful, 25% of the payment is due within 3 days, with the remaining 75% due on collection. We’re the only dealer in the UK offering this option.

Can you help with inspections and history?

Yes — before placing any bid we carry out a full inspection, checking for smell, rust, paint issues, headliner issues (common in Japan due to the heat), unwanted noises and more. If there’s anything particular you want us to check, we can do that no problem. All of our cars also come with a mileage certificate from the same authority used by BIMTA.

What if there’s a problem when the car arrives?

If the car arrives in the UK with severe issues, we take full responsibility and will refund your payment. Severe issues include engine problems, previously undisclosed accidents, frame damage, and rust.

Do you arrange delivery?

We can arrange delivery anywhere in the UK after registration, or you can collect from Wellingborough.
